Fay is moving
Fay has made what could be the definitive move we’ve been waiting for…toward the west, or maybe a little south of due west (about 260). The chart below shows the 2-hour pressure change. The area where pressures are falling rapidly is a good indicator of where the storm is headed. Looks like it may make it into the Gulf by later this morning.
If a WSW motion occurs long enough to get Fay further away from the big bend, and possibly south of Appalachicola, it could intensify in a hurry, so we’ll see. Maybe I’m reading too much into the pressure changes (note they are also falling over much of south GA and AL).
