Warning Cancelled/Checking on the Gulf
The warning for Clay and Randolph Counties has been cancelled. The storm moving near Lineville is still producing very heavy rain and gusty winds, but is no longer likely to be severe.
FROM THE GULF…
The Air Force recon plane has found an area of light winds about 140 miles south of Gulf Shores. It is surrounded by winds in the 30 knot range at the surface. It remains to be seen whether this will qualify as enough of a circulation to classify the system as a tropical depression…but there appears to be a good chance that it will.
