The release below is from our friend Kory Hartman… he will be on WeatherBrains with us again next week to discuss this great project.
STORM CHASERS HIT BY TORNADO COORDINATE BOY SCOUT RELIEF FUND
SevereStudios Inc. starts relief fund called “72 for Little Sioux”
Madison, South Dakota, June 19, 2008 – On June 11th, 2008, Storm Chasers Kory Hartman and Kenny Allen of SevereStudios.com were directly hit by an EF3 rated tornado near Moorhead, IA. Hartman and Allen were following the same storm that had ravaged the Little Sioux Scout Ranch, killing four Boy Scouts and injuring many more.
Hartman and Allen have been compelled to start a tornado relief fund called “72 for Little Sioux”. From now until Sunday at midnight, SevereStudios.com is dedicating all of its time and resources to raising money to help rebuild the Little Sioux Scout Ranch. SevereStudios has donated $1000.00 dollars to start the fund. Individuals can log on to www.SevereStudios.com and make a donation through the special “Donate” link.
Allen, a former boy scout, commented, “It is important that we stand up and help these young men rebuild their camp. This is a place were we help teach the next generation’s community leaders. These young men have shown tremendous strength and courage during this ordeal, now we want to help them rebuild and move forward.”
