Pleasant Again Tonight
An all new edition of the ABC 33/40 Weather Xtreme video is available in the player below, and on iTunes…
Tonight will once again feature very comfortable temperatures for June in Alabama, although not quite as cool as the last two nights. Sure looks like upper 50s are likely again early tomorrow morning, with low to mid 50s for the cooler spots.
Dry weather continues tomorrow with a high in the upper 80s.
OUR WEEKEND: We will just go ahead and mention a chance of scattered showers and storms both Saturday and Sunday; not a continuous rain, but average amounts statewide will be in the one-half to one inch category. Looks like the best coverage of showers and storms will be east and south of Birmingham by Sunday afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 80s both days.
NEXT WEEK: Any showers during the first half of the week should be rather isolated; the weather looks generally dry Monday through Wednesday with highs in the 87 to 90 degree range.
VOODOO LAND: The upper ridge rebuilds across the Deep South as we get into July, so pretty routine weather is likely with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s and the daily risk of scattered, mainly afternoon showers and storms.
CODE ORANGE: Another air quality alert has been issued for the Birmingham metro area tomorrow (for Jefferson and Shelby Counties).
WEATHER BRAINS: Don’t forget you can listen to our weekly 30 minute netcast anytime on the web, or on iTunes. This is the show all about weather featuring many familiar voices, including our meteorologists here at ABC 33/40. You can even listen here on the blog; look for the player on the top left.
Look for the next Weather Xtreme video here by 7:00 a.m. tomorrow!
