A 2:55 pm Look at Alabama

This quick summary does not, by any means, mention every thunderstorm. Just the main ones:

* Strong thunderstorm over East Fayette County moving east toward Walker County. May also skirt the north edge of Tuscaloosa County. Moving east at 11. NWS advises these storms may have 45 mph wind gusts and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning.

* Cluster of strong storms over East Mississippi may move into West Alabama’s Lamar and Pickens County later.

* A number of showers and thunderstorms over South Alabama especially the SW part from Wilcox and Clark County southward. A lot of those dumping locally heavy rain.

FLASH FLOOD WATCH CANCLLED

* NWS/Huntsville cancelled the Flash Flood Watch for eight Extreme North Alabama countuies. Not much going on in that part of the state this afternoon
