Here is an excellent post on The Weather Channel blog by severe weather expert Dr. Greg Forbes. I thought you might enjoy it. Especially interesting is his observation that storms often seem to spin up when they descend a slope.
Could this explain some of our seemingly favored tornado tracks here in Alabama?
