A Busy, Busy Friday

Just to show you how extremely busy the NWS Storm Prediction Center was Friday, this is how many severe weather reports they received:

53 tornado reports
67 hail reports
56 wind reports

Of course, that number will be adjusted later when all the investigations are complete. There could be (and usually are) more than one report of the same tornado as it moves along its path.

Hats off not only to the SPC but also the NWS Forecast Centers in places like Jackson, Little Rock, Memphis, Tulsa, Huntsville, Birmingham (and I probably overlooked one or two)
