More Friday Storm Pictures

“I attached some amazing pictures taken by my sister that lives in Alabaster. She saw the wall cloud and as you can see from her message below, her house was victim to a deadly electrical storm……

Here’s pics of the storm numbered starting at 1 when it first started. Mandee took these with her cell phone and they turned out pretty good. Very scary. Lightning bolt hit somewhere on our back deck when we were standing in the kitchen. The brightest, loudest thing I’ve ever heard. You could feel it in your body when it hit. The neighbor saw it and said it looked like fire on our deck.

It burned up the computer modem, network card, wireless router, garage door, Mandee’s stereo, invisible fence in the backyard (dogs), and security system. That’s all we’ve discovered so far. We are really lucky the house did not catch on fire. The house smelled like an electrical fire. It tripped all the breakers. One thing is for sure, everything on a surge protector was not hurt, so those things really work! We bought more today and put on more stuff :)”
