The blog has become slow this afternoon due to heavy demand…

Storms intensifying over Central Alabama. An intensifying storm was over Hale County just northwest of Greensboro. It shows good indications of hail. It will move northeast into Bibb County near or North of the Centreville/Brent area.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Bibb, Hale and Tuscaloosa Counties.

In Shelby County, a strong storm is near Columbiana. It also has strong indications of hail.

The storms will continue to intensify as the airmass becomes more unstable over Central Alabama. A tornado watch is in effect until 6 p.m.

In Northeast Alabama a tornado warning continues for Cherokee County until 1:30 p.m., but I think that storm has weakened.
