Tornado Threatens Little Rock

A dangerous storm is bearing down on the LIttle Rock area tonight.

It will be approaching the Little Rock International Airport just before 10 p.m.

The National Weather Service Memphis is ready to back up the NWS Little Rock. They have already gone to generator power as the storm approaches.

Some reports from the NWS IM Conference in Little Rock…

4/3 21:35:30 ham radio is reporting damage to the buick dealership on reynolds road between Benton and Bryant

4/3 21:32:32 power flashes have been reported

4/3 21:32:09 ham radio has reported tornado on the ground east of Benton on I-30

4/3 21:28:12 We have recieved a report of damage to some homes near mile marker 111 on I-30

4/3 21:28:00 increasing rotation ne of Benton…nasty looking!

4/3 21:18:21 I hope folks in Benton are taking cover…
