Very Early in Alabama–3:15 am
Showers were occurring across North and Central Alabama very early on this Friday morning. There were a few thunderstorms mixed in over the NW part of the state.
At 3:15 am, while many of the showers were light, some moderate to heavy showers were over North Alabama’s Cullman County and also over the NW where some lightning was indicated.
Everything was moving ENE.
By far the heaviest showers and stronger thunderstorms were over Arkansas and NW Mississippi. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch was in effect for most of Arkansas and Extreme North Louisiana.
From now through the next 24 hours, the Storm Prediction Center has posted a slight risk of severe weather for all of Alabama except the Extreme south.
