Don’t forget to watch our live stream on abc3340.com at 7:00… we will talk about the snow event in detail.

We note sleet now falling at Hamilton, and across the state line at Starkville and Columbus. Snow will spread into Alabama during the next few hours.

Our forecast isn’t all that much different from what we talked about yesterday and this morning, we just adjusted the accumulation figures a little higher on the afternoon update today.

Again… potential for 1 to 3 inches north of U.S. 278 (Hamilton to Cullman to Gadsden), around 1 inch along the I-20 corridor (Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, and Anniston), and a dusting down to Montgomery. Roads should remain wet due to the warm soil temperatures, and major travel issues are not expected (although there could be a few icy spots in bridges up in the Tennessee Valley late tonight and tomorrow morning).

Need to run handle the 6:00 News…. see you on the live stream at 7:00!
