Not much going on, possibly some scattered light rain over the NW. Interesting to note that a line of heavy showers has formed over the SE part of the state and there could be some thunderstorms developing.
TO OUR WEST
Precipitation becoming more widespread over North and Central Mississippi. It is mostly wintry precipitation over the NW and also over the East 2/3 or Arkansas. Spot reports from the area:

At 5 pm, the NWS coop observer at Cleveland, in NW Mississippi, reported heavy snow with about three inches on the ground. There was also considerable blowing and drifting snow.

66 Fort Worth, quite a warmup from heavy snow in the area yesterday.
SOMETHING YOU DON’T SEE OFTEN
Late this afternoon, a long line of thunderstorms with plenty of lightning extended all the way from Jacksonville, Fla., SW across the SE Gulf of Mexico to the Yucatan Peninsula!
