Widespread Wind Damage Reports Eastern Mississippi

| November 22, 2011 @ 2:14 pm | 2 Replies

Our line of thunderstorms over West Alabama has already produced significant wind damage in eastern Mississippi.

Alan Gerard, our friend at the National Weather Service in Jackson, reports that they have received fairly widespread damage reports in Lauderdale County, MS. Mobile homes were damage in northeastern Lauderdale County. Trees and highway signs were blown down along I-20/59 and a convenience store wall was blown in along the interstate in Meridian.

Chicken houses were damaged near Meehan MS as well.

More concentrated damage was reported east of Brandon MS. Some chance that is tornado damage.
