Neighbors In Need – Update
Blog readers are aware of our “adopted” family in Walker County near Cordova. Gary and Heather Adams, and their 9 children, were left homeless after the April 27 tornado outbreak. I met them a few days after the storm, and am honored to play a small part in getting them a new home.
If you missed the first post about this project, see this video, which was originally sent to ABC’s “Extreme Home Makeover” show. They are not in production now, so we decided to get rolling.
The volunteer building contractor is Wayne O’Rear of Jasper, who has spent so many hours helping to get the foundation and trusses up in recent weeks. See photos below of the progress…
