Tuscaloosa Kids Ministry Next Week
This is a really wonderful opportunity for families in Tuscaloosa impacted by the April 27 tornado. Some of my pals have put together a WinShape Camp next week in Tuscaloosa, and all fees have been waived. With school starting soon, this is a great chance for kids to have a little fun… especially those kids in families that were heavily impacted by the tornado. See the details below…
WinShape Camps C3 is part of a not-for-profit foundation founded by Truett Cathy, the founder of Chick-fil-A. So far this summer, WinShape Camps C3 has visited 40 communities all over the country and impacted the lives of over 9,200 campers and their families.
Next week, August 1st-5th, WinShape Camps C3 will be in Tuscaloosa, Alabama at Valley View Baptist Church. Camp is for completed 1st through 6th graders and normally the cost is $179 per camper. However, in light of the tragic events of April 27th, 500 campers will be provided the opportunity to come on a full scholarship. Also, the local Chick-fil-A has offered to provide a Chick-fil-A lunch for campers every day of camp. WinShape Camps C3 lasts from 8AM to 5PM on Monday-Thursday and 8AM to 1PM on Friday.
Campers have the opportunity to participate in small group Bible Study, a large group worship experience, camp-wide recreation activities, and the opportunity to customize their camp experience with three “skills.” Skills range from sports activities like soccer, flag football, gymnastics, and archery to performing arts like drama and music. Campers could be learning how to make their favorite foods in Fast Food or trying out crazy science experiments in Wacky Science. Any kind of person or personality is going to find something they love at WinShape Camps C3.
We hope that next week will be an incredible and refreshing experience for five hundred 1st through 6th graders and their families. We know that many families lost everything on April 27th and the children of Tuscaloosa need an opportunity to just have fun and be kids.
WinShape Camps C3 is bringing the counselors, the activities, the stage, and the fun. We need Tuscaloosa to bring the Campers!
