A broken line of intense storms extends from west of Clanton to south of Alex City to Lafayette this evening.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are in effect ahead of the storms. They are pushing south at 20 mph.

The storms have a history of producing damaging winds, as well as intense lightning, torrential rains and even some hail.

Trees have been reported down in the past few minutes in Deatsville and Valley.
