Heavy Storms Over Northwest Alabama

| June 17, 2011 @ 9:48 am | 4 Replies

Strong storms continue to drop southeastward into West central Alabama this morning.

They are already affecting much of Marion and northern Lamar Counties.

They are moving into Winston, Walker and Fayette counties next…

Expect hail up to half inch, very heavy rain, gusty winds and intense lightning with the storms.

At the current rate of movement, the storms could reach western Jefferson County around 11:15 a.m.

Storms over Lawrence County will affect Morgan and drop south into Cullman County until the next 30 minutes as well.
