Worst Day of My Life–Molly is Dead

| June 13, 2011 @ 6:13 pm | 286 Replies

I don’t know if I can EVER get over this. The little pal of my life is dead. Molly was visciously attacked by the same dog that attacked her over a year ago. This time I could not win the fight, in fact I am being admitted to St. Vincent’s east with a head injury, leg injury and possible back injury. Bleeding at the head.

In the fight I fell down an embankment that is half rock and half grass. Fell face down and could not get up. I had to lie there and see JoJo finish Molly off. I was screaming at the top of my voice but no one could hear me. He finished killing Molly in less than three minutes. The worst thing I will ever see.

My sincere thanks to the thousands of Molly fans that adopted her as if she belonged in their home.

I will try to write more when I am discharged. Your prayers are appreciated.

Addendum:

I am adding some additional information to JB’s post. I am a dog lover, and I understand the pain JB is going through in the loss of a dearly loved pet that has truly become a member of the family. In this terrible tragedy, I just want to curl up on the floor with my dog, Cheyenne, and love her as much as I can. The reason that I am posting this is for the picture below. It is not the best picture, but it is the day Cheyenne (left) and Miss Molly (right) met. I think neither dog was too sure about the other – Cheyenne afraid she was being replaced, and Miss Molly afraid she was going to have share the Elliott house with another dog! But I felt compelled to post a recent picture of Miss Molly in her honor.
