Interesting Report From a Reader

J.B.,
Just wanted to pass along all the weather damage I witnessed coming into BHM from the North Bibb area.

The area between exit 97 (Caffee Junction/Woodstock) and exit 100 (Bucksville/Tannehill) on I-59 was lined with huge trees snapped in half. It looked like someone came through with a chainsaw and cut all the trees down midway up. I was surprised to see so many hardwood trees snapped in half.

The Jacks restaurant at exit 97 had its sign blown out and several fireworks mobile homes were flipped over in the parking lot. Then close to exit 100 a large billboard was crumpled and blown down. Also, several metal business buildings were damaged.

Our sirens never went off in Woodstock, but our radio did and we took shelter in the basement.

Praying everyone stays safe today. —Steven
