Strong Storms Knocking On The Door

Looks like the line of storms will enter Northwest Alabama around midnight…

The main risk will be from damaging straight line winds along the line; there have been no tornado warnings at least the last 90 minutes.

We believe the storms will slowly weaken as they enter Northwest Alabama, but they will still be capable of producing wind gusts to over 50 mph through 3:00 a.m. We will keep an eye on the radar and keep you posted overnight; if you live in Northwest Alabama be sure your NOAA Weather Radio receiver is in good working order to be sure you get warnings as they are issued.
