Our friend Alan Gerard, who is the Chief of the NWS in Jackson, is emphatically warning on their chat that there are strong indications of a tornado on the ground in Holmes COunty MS west of Lexington, passing between Tchula and Lexington…

Here is that storm…

This activity will affect West Alabama’s Lamar, Pickens and Fayette Counties in about two hours.

They are also very concerned about a storm moving toward Jackson now…it is about 30 minutes away and has increasing rotation and a definite hook echo now.
