Tornado Watch #128 Issued

| April 11, 2011 @ 10:44 am | Reply

A tornado watch has been issued for areas from eastern Arkansas through northern Mississippi and western Tennessee into southern Kentucky.

It goes until 5 p.m. CDT.

There is one severe thunderstorm warning in Central Arkansas.

The cap has eroded over northern Mississippi and instabilities are rising. We will see the storms over eastern Arkansas intensify as they move eastward and we could see supercell storms form ahead of the squall line over northern Mississippi over the next few hours.

All of this will continue translating eastward and will impact northwestern Alabama starting between 1 and 3 p.m. and the rest of West Alabama between 3 and 5 p.m.
