Another Severe Storm About to Enter Northwest Alabama

It will affect Franklin County, staying north of Marion County.

The severe storm is just northwest of Red Bay in Franklin County. It is moving just north of east at 45 mph.

It almost definitely has hail in it…as well as the potential to produce wind gusts over 60 mph.

Heavy rain also accompanies these storms. Rainfall estimates are now near two inches along the Franklin/Marion and Winston/Lawrence County lines. The NWS Birmingham has issued a flodo advisory for northern Mairon and northwestern Winston Counties, including Haleyville.

There is another severe storm back near Oxford MS. It looks really nasty on radar. It will continue east as will other storms, riding along a stationary front that lies near US-278 this morning.
