Marion County Now Under Severe Thunderstorm Warning

| March 26, 2011 @ 4:13 am | 2 Replies

The NWS in Birmingham has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northern Marion county in Northwest Alabama because of that severe thunderstorm near Fulton MS.

It will pass just north of Hamilton, and eventually near Hackleburg and Bear Creek as it moves just north of due east at 45 mph. It will edge into Franklin County Alabama as well, passing near Phil Campbell…and the NWS Huntsville has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Franklin County as well.

It could cause damaging winds of 60 mph or greater and hail to the size of quarters.
