Snow Continues

Snow continues across the northern half of Alabama tonight. So far, travel problems have been limited to parts of Northwest and North Alabama but conditions will deteriorate as snow continues for the next few hours.

Current forecast looks good. Dr. Tim will have an update shortly.

…Hayden…coming down hard, porches, cars, yards covering nicely

SHELBY COUNTY
…Steady snow in Helena, but no accumulations yet

BLOUNT COUNTY
…Oneonta…1 inch on ground and cars

CULLMAN COUNTY
…1 inch in Cullman

MARION COUNTY
…Guin: 1 inch mainly on grassy areas…moderate snow continues
…Hamilton…travel becoming difficult on hills and bridges…snow still falling
…Winfield…1 inch on ground

LAMAR COUNTY
…Kennedy 1.75 inches
…Millport…at least a couple of inches

TUSCALOOSA COUNTY
…Lots of reports of accumulations around Tuscaloosa

WALKER COUNTY
…Sumiton 1.5 inches
…Parrish 1.5 inches

FAYETTE COUNTY
…2 inches and still snowing

NORTH ALABAMA
…Sister in law in Decatur reports 2 inches on cars, sticking on grassy surfaces…roads starting to whiten
…Snow accumulating on side roads in Huntsville

…Hartselle street conditions deteriorating

MISSISSIPPI
