Precipitation is increasing over West Alabama. It is freezing rain, sleet and snow.

Travel is already extremely hazardous in areas that have already seen precipitation and will get even worse.

There are multiple accidents across the elevated highways in the Birmingham Metro.

Hoover PD has instructed officers not to work accidents that do not have injuries…

Richard Viola is helping monitor scanner traffic with John Talbot…he relays message that travel is very bad on I-20/59 between Hueytown and Midfield.

Freezing rain has glazed all surfaces at the National Weather Service office in Calera…parking lot becoming icy.

Please, please do not travel across Central Alabama tonight.
