Heavy Freezing Rain in Tuscaloosa

An area of precipitation continues to move northeastward across West Central and Central Alabama at this hour.

The precipitation extends from near Columbus and Fulton MS through Lamar, Pickens, western Fayette, Tuscaloosa, northern Hale, Bibb, northern Perry, Chilton, Coosa and into Tallapoosa Counties.

It is heavy in the Tuscaloosa area right now. It is also heavy around Rockford in East Alabama.

Heavy freezing rain is reported in Tuscaloosa now. Take a look at the Hugh Thomas Bridge from downtown Tuscaloosa to Northport. It is covered with sleet. The temperature is 28F.
