Weather by the Numbers–Very Short

| November 29, 2010 @ 9:15 am | Reply

This is a short one and addresses almost entirely the statewide rain deficit in Alabama. These numbers are entirely the deficit for 2010 as of today:

Huntsville 11.47 inches
Muscle Shoals 10.10
Anniston 8.21
Montgomery 13.42
Auburn 15.00 (estimated. They have only 30.20 this year.)
Tuscaloosa 10.14
Mobile 3.89
Pensacola an EXCESS of 0.01. They have received 60.04 inches so far this year and on this same date last year, they had been drenched with 74.27 inches.

Well, one more item of interest:

USA TEMPERATURE EXTREMES
High Sunday 86 at Naples, Fla.
Lows this morning 10 at Stanley, Idaho (coldest in the Lower 48)
** 36 below zero at Bettles, Alaska with 19 inches of snow

** I believe that is the coldest I have seen in Alaska so far this year. Wonder of Chicken, Alaska will have another 64 or 65 below like they did a year or so ago?
