Line of Showers Moving Quickly

That line of showers, including heavy ones, and some thunderstorms moving rapidly eastward across North Alabama.

At 9:15 am they extended from Shelby County northward to near Guntersville and Scottsboro. Most of the showers now east of Jefferson County but some moderate to heavy showers were still near the Jefferson/St. Clair county line.

Almost all of the showers now east of these areas:

Huntsville
Cullman
Tuscaloosa
Jasper
Immediate Birmingham area

Heaviest rain at 9:15 am:
Guntersville
Fort Payne
East Blount County
North St. Clair County
Etowah County

TWO RAIN NOTES
* Haleyville 1.10 inches of rain since 10 o’clock last night
* Clay/Pinson 1.55 inches since 11 pm for a storm total of 2.60

Strong gust winds are associated with the line of showers–up to 40 mph at times.
