Late Afternoon in Alabama

Most of the heavier rain is shifting to the east. Not much going on in West and Central Alabama.

Just before 5 pm, the heaviest rain, by far, was over Extreme Southeast Alabama. Some moderate rain continues over Northeast Alabama–generally from about Birmingham northeastward. In the immediate Birmingham Area, mostly light rain at this hour.

Still more showers tonight and showers and thunderstorms again Tuesday especially through the morning.

So far, this has been a good rain event for Alabama. We will try to post an updated list of rain amounts from both official stations and 33/40 Skywatchers–probably after 7 this evening.
