Healthy Shelby Storm

| September 19, 2010 @ 5:31 pm | 2 Replies

One isolated storm across Central Alabama this hour. If you go outside, you can probably see it for at least 50-60 miles. Tops are over 40,000 feet and it has a beautifully developed anvil.

It is located between Chelsea and Wilsonville in Shelby county, approaching Columbiana as it spreads southwestward.

There is a good amount of lightning with the system as well as heavy rain and some gusty winds.

Thunder is being reported from the Shelby County Airport.
