“Hi James, this is the same small cluster of storms Liz Guyton posted from Fayette, AL Walmart (looking NE) .
Mine are from a different angle (looking due east from Franklin county) The small cluster was located from southern to northern Winston county. I’m guessing Liz took the Fayette view at about 7:20pm or so (being a little lighter out). My lightning video freeze frame shot happened at 8:06pm in northern Winston county. Using lightning and radar maps at 8:06pm and my picture, I calculated the lighting came out of the thunderstorm at roughly 20,000 feet up and hit the ground about 6 miles NW of the storm cloud edge. That’s what they call “Bolts From the Blue”, very dangerous of course.”
