The widely spaced thunderstorms across Alabama not as strong as the ones at this same hour yesterday. The fairly strong one, that was moving down from Cullman County, made a right turn and is almost gone over the west edge of Jefferson County west of Oak Grove.

The stronger storms at 4:55 were in and around the Montgomery area, Those were producing some locally heavy rain but sill not as strong as the ones yesterday afternoon.

The storm now falling apart over Extreme West Jefferson, sent a cooling outflow and that caused the temperature to drop at 89 at Birmingham Airport with a nice wind gust to 23 mph.
