Late Afternoon Slow Showers

A bunch of smaller, slow moving showers across Alabama late on this Tuesday afternoon. Some communities were getting a good rain event because of the slow movement. For example:

…..A heavy shower has moved little from its position along the Shelby/Bibb County line. Some communities, such as Marvel, getting a good soaking.

…..Good showers, almost a steady rain, in the Hale County locations of Moundville, Greensboro, Havana, and Akron extending down to Demopolis in North Marengo and to Eutaw in Greene County.

The showers and some thunderstorms have formed sort of a line along the SW edge of Jefferson County into Central Shelby County and moving NE. Some of these may reach the Birmingham area. It has also been raining in Tuscaloosa again this afternoon.

The showers and storms do not compare in number and intensity to those of 24 hours ago.
