Just Past Noon

Partly sunny to partly cloudy conditions continue across Central Alabama this afternoon.

Storms were start to develop over East Alabama. They are mainly confined to Tallapoosa County right now…from near Alex City to north of Dadeville.

Temperatures are in the middle and upper 80s now. It is quite muggy, with dewpoints in the lower 70s.

A surface boundary was moving south out of the Tennessee Valley.

Thunderstorms will continue to develop through the afternoon ahead of the southbound boundary. Be alert for deadly lightning, strong gusty winds and heavy rain from any slow moving storms that persist over the same areas for awhile.
