Embarking On A Special Trip

| July 8, 2010 @ 11:11 am | 5 Replies

I will be away from the weather business for the next 10 days… I am helping coach a 12 year old baseball team called the “Hoover East Heat”. We leave tonight for Cooperstown, New York, the home of baseball, to play in a week-long tournament at the Cooperstown Dreams Park. We will be there with about 100 other teams from around the nation, in what should be a week these kids won’t soon forget. We are taking a charter bus for the long ride, so expect some pictures and posts from the road in coming days.

Thanks in advance to Mike Murphy and Garry Kelly at ABC 33/40, and J.B. Elliott, Bill Murray, Brian Peters, and the rest of the gang at the Weather Company for allowing me to take this trip. When it comes to raising children, the days are long, but the years are short. We will cherish this fantastic memory.
