Alabama Update at 2:45 pm
Again this afternoon, scattered showers and thunderstorms were beginning to show up across the Alabama countryside except there were very few over the extreme northern counties where the dew point had dropped into the 60s. (translation, drier air)
A couple of the storms (rather small so far) were over NE Jefferson County. The stronger thunderstorms were over East Talladega and Clay County in East Alabama and over on the west side of the state between Greensboro and Livingston.
Everything was slow moving.
Down south rather numerous showers and thunderstorms were in progress near and just off the Alabama/Northwest Florida Coast. Moisture from Sir Alex may be involved in that even though he is hundreds of miles away. There were even more numerous showers/thunderstorms along and offshore in Mississippi/Louisiana.
