Start of a New Day in Alabama

Rather quiet across Alabama very early on this Sunday morning but warm and very moist air covers the state like a wet blanket.

A few areas with patchy dense fog mainly in the valleys. Visibility was only 1/4 mile at Gadsden Airport at 6 am.

A few very light showers are in progress but very few. Those will grow in number as the day goes on. Another day of scattered showers and thunderstorms most of them during late morning and afternoon. Again, a few thunderstorms may become strong to severe.
