Late Afternoon Alabama Update

The Severe Thunderstorm Warning for part of East Jefferson Country expired at 4:45. The NWS is now concerned about some flooding.

A Flood Advisory is posted for East Jefferson County until 7:30 this evening. It includes:

…..Leeds
…..Irondale…..
…..Gardendale
…..Fultondale
…..Birmingham
…..Homewood

Nearly two inches of rain fell in one hour and one to two inches of additional rain possible.
Just one foot of flowing water is powerful to sweep vehicles off the road.
