Line of Showers Develops
The predicted line of showers has developed over Northwest and North Alabama this afternoon.
It is running a little ahead of schedule. It should reach the I-59 corridor before 6 p.m.
It is in advance of a cold front that is approaching the Northwest Corner of Alabama at this time.
The showers are growing in intensity slowly. They should continue to grow as they encounter moderately unstable air over North Central Alabama.
Drier air will filter into Alabama later tonight and Monday, giving us dry conditions to start the week.
