Early Evening in Alabama–7 pm

The weather is now quieter across Alabama after a long day dealing with showers and thunderstorms

At 7pm, the main zone (not really a well-defined line) of showers and storms was from North Tuscaloosa County to north of Birmingham, then down into Clay and Randolph County

The heaviest rain was over East Randolph.

Actually, quite a few of the heaviest showers and storms circulated over into West Georgia.

The last warning issued in Alabama was a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for part of Macon County at 4:13 pm. At 7 o’clock this evening no formal warnings were in effect.

It appears that the low pressure area aloft is still centered over North Mississippi and maybe a part of NW Alabama.

We will have to deal with more showers and thunderstorms for Memorial Day. Too bad…
