Most of the showers across Alabama have diminished tonight, but a notable exception is a strong little thunderstorm cell in South Alabama’s Pike County.

Additional showers and storms are over Georgia. Some of these will move into Northeast Alabama later tonight.

Also, additional showers and isolated storms could form overnight.

Showers and storms should become plentiful across Alabama starting by late morning on Sunday, The showers will continue into the evening hours before diminishing.

Some storms could be on the strong to severe side again with heavy rain a possibility with the upper low continuing to spin to our west and a warm, moist airmass in place across the state.

Memorial Day looks like it will feature showers an storms again.

Showers and storms look like they will thin a bit by Tuesday, but be a fairly important part of the forecast for the next two weeks. The operational GFS is calling for 4-6 inches of rain across Central Alabama over the next 15 days.
