Storms Growing in Birmingham Metro
Thunderstorms are building in the Birmingham Metro.

Heavier storm over southwestern Jefferson County from Bessemer building back into western sections of the City of Birmingham. These storms are growing quickly and could become severe.
A heavy storm was reported in the Trace Crossings area at Regions Park earlier about 2:30, but the rain is north of the park right now. They could edge back southward over the park shortly.
An incoming outflow boundary from the Talladega County storms may help initiate or intensify storms in northern Shelby, St. Clair and eastern Jefferson Counties.
New Severe thunderstorm warning for Calhoun County. Golf ball sized hail was reported at Cobb Town. This warning includes areas from Anniston to Weaver and Ohatchee.
Storms are intensifying rapidly in Bibb County, generally to the south and southwest of West Blocton.
The SPC now has generally the northern third of Alabama in a slight risk outlook for severe weather today…their standard severe weather risk.
