A northward moving warm front is producing widespread storms over the northwestern quarter of Alabama this morning.

The storms are producing plenty of hail…and here are some reports…

…penny sized hail in the Rock Creek/Concord area of weather Jefferson County at 8:05 a.m.

…quarter sized hail reported in Pametta in Pickens County…north of Reform at 8:05 a.m.

…Pea sized hail reported at 31/Fieldstown Road near Gardendale at 8:55 a.m.

Additional reports…

We caution everyone not to think that this is the worst of this system…the main event is still to come this afternoon as storms to the west fire and move into Alabama.
