We are still watching a long line of thunderstorms moving eastward across the region early this morning. Some of the storms are already in North and West Alabama.

At 2:20 am, the line of thunderstorms extended from near Decatur SW across Marion County in NW Alabama…then down through East Central and South Mississippi.

The middle part of the line will be crossing the border into West Alabama’s Lamar and Pickens County soon. The line of storms should reach Tuscaloosa after 3 am and it may be 4 am or so before Birmingham has the storms.

There is some fluctuation in the strength of the storms, however, overall a slow decline. There is an outside chance that a warning will be needed for some areas.

Down on the south part of the line, the NWS in New Orleans issued a Tornado Warning for a SE Louisiana Parrish as well as SE Pike County and Walthall County in South Mississippi.

We will continue to watch the rest of tonight.
