…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS
EVENING…
SNOW WILL GRADUALLY TAPER OFF THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS NORTHEAST
ALABAMA AND SOUTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE. AS THE SNOW TAPERS
OFF…THE LIGHTER PRECIPITATION COMBINED WITH WARMER AIR WILL
ALLOW ROAD CONDITIONS TO IMPROVE. HOWEVER…WHERE THE SNOW
PERSISTS LONGER…ROADWAYS WILL REMAIN SLICK AND HAZARDOUS. RURAL
OR LESS TRAVELED ROADWAYS…AS WELL AS BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES WILL
BE ESPECIALLY AT RISK.
A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR A FEW
SLICK SPOTS ON ROADS…AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
