Bad Day In The Weather Office (In Boston)
Thanks to Jenny Henderson for passing this along… she writes:
“Hello from Massachusetts!
My husband and I moved to Massachusetts this fall. At one point we were predicted to have around 8 inches of snow today. That has been lowered to up to an inch. I thought you might appreciate the sentiments of a local meteorologist. From Channel 7 (the NBC affiliate).

(I should point out I have been in Pete’s position a number of times; I feel his pain)
Stink, stank, stunk

Damage control was never taught in weather school, but I think it might be time to enroll in a course.
Let me save you the bandwith:
Yes I know this cost the government, businesses, plow operators, towns and cities thousands of dollars.
Yes I realize the time and effort that was wasted.
Yes I know you’ll never watch/trust me again.
But I also know that everyone called for roughly the same amounts, the same timing, and same call to arms. No one’s got God holding on line one. While I know there’s nothing to appease the anger, the disgust and the shame, I also know I can’t change what I can’t control. I also know you’re entitled to your opinion of meteorologists, our forecasts, and the profession.
But I do know
the sun will rise tomorrow
the pattern is quiet for several days
that spring is around the corner
and…Mother Nature is still the king (queen).
