Alabama Just Before 7 pm

Showers across North Alabama have diminished and decreased in number considerably.

By far the heaviest rain now was from Montgomery, Macon, Chambers and Lee County southward.

This does not mean that we are home-free for the rest of the night. Still some strong thunderstorms in Central Mississippi as well as Louisiana and East Texas. Some of those will be crossing Alabama later tonight.

NWS in Huntsville continues a Flash Flood Watch through tonight and into Thursday morning for these Extreme North Alabama counties:

Jackson
Lauderdale
Lawrence
Limestone
Madison
Marshall
Morgan

As much as 1 to 3 inches of rain expected.
