Seems like millions of people are hitting the road or the airways enroute to Pasadena.

Rumor has it that a major college football game will be there Thursday night that will decide the BCS National Championship!.

One of our blog readers suggested today that we post weather information for people flying out of major airports in the SE headed to the big game between Texas and Alabama. Good idea.

PASADENA (LAX)
Excellent weather for your destination. No rain in their forecast all the way through next Monday in case you want to stay a few days after the game. Most days will have considerable sunshine or just scattered clouds. High temperatures expected:

…..72 Friday
Lows at night from 48 into the 50s. Not bad at all!

HOUSTON
I know first hand that a big UofA alumni base is in Houston. Dry weather through Tuesday night. 50% chance of rain starting Wednesday night maybe mixed with light sleet before ending Thursday morning.

NEW ORLEANS
Sunny Tuesday and Wednesday, highs in the 40s. A very cold 20 degrees early Wednesday morning.

MEMPHIS
Clear Tuesday. Dry and very cold through Wednesday. Highs 29-32. Snow starts Wednesday night and increases overnight. Goof chance of snow through Thursday morning. High temperatures 28-32.

NASHVILLE
Dry and very cold Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the 20s. Snow starts after midnight Wednesday night. Moderate snow accumulations Thursday. Low about 12 Wednesday morning.

ATLANTA
Chance of snow flurries Tuesday morning. Sunny on Wednesday, high near 38, A slight chance of snow on Thursday,

MOBILE/PENSACOLA
Clear Tuesday but windy at times. Clear also Wednesday. By Thursday, occasional rain and maybe even some light sleet Thursday afternoon.

TAMPA
Mostly sunny Tuesday and Wednesday but very cool.

BIRMINGHAM
Mostly sunny Tuesday and Wednesday but very cold. If you wait until Thursday morning, it may be snowing with light accumulations.

THUNDERSTORM PROBLEMS
Non-existent. No thunderstorms expected on any of these routes for the next two or three days.

NOTE: Generally speaking, this weather is not that unusual for airlines. However, if you are flying a private plane, you will want to check ceilings, visibility, etc.
